About Primal

Welcome! My name is Ethan Jones owner of Primal Dogos. I absolutely love this breed and what they are capable of. The Dogo Argentino was originally bred for hunting wild boar and is considered a big game hunting dog. This is important to know since this was its primary purpose. I think any reputable breeder who breeds Dogos should hunt or at least know their dogs have that drive to make sure they remain true to the Dogos primary purpose. With that being said I'm not stating that Dogos are only for individuals who want to hunt. I am saying they should be capable of doing what the breed was intended for. I feel like some breeders just focus on how big their Dogos are but don't ensure their dogs have its working ability. If they lose this ability, it could affect its skills of hunting, guarding and protecting. I have seen mine in action and know they can carry out these task.
Dogos are high energy dogs and have the stamina to do outdoor activities. I take mine on 5 mile hikes in the hill country in Texas and after they still have energy to play. They are a very well rounded breed of dog. They can be hunting boar one day and hanging out with you on the couch the next. They enjoy play time and are very good with kids as well. One of my favorite attributes is how loyal these dogs are. They always want to be by your side doing what you are doing and are also protective of the whole family. As I stated before, Dogos have lots of energy so I recommend that they get plenty of exercise. If they get bored, they can get in to trouble. I suggest you do research before purchasing to make sure this breed is for you.
All puppies will all be BAER tested and current on all their shots before they go to their forever homes at 8 weeks old. While in my care, they will be well socialized with kids and other dogs. If you choose Primal, I ensure you will be getting a Dogo Argentino that's loyal, protective, and a true companion.
